Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
The short version (a plain-English summary; the full policy below is what governs):
- TourNav is built for parents and guardians. You enter your golfer’s details yourself, and we use them for one thing: matching tournaments and sending you alerts.
- We never sell personal information, never run third-party ads, and never use your child’s data for advertising or profiling.
- Payments go through Stripe — we never see or store your card number. The only cookies we use are the ones that keep you signed in.
- You can review, edit, or delete your information (including your golfer’s) any time from your dashboard or by emailing support@mytournav.com.
1. Who We Are
TourNav is operated by [TOURNAV LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“TourNav,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), available at mytournav.com (the “Service”). TourNav is a subscription service for parents and guardians of junior golfers that sends SMS and email alerts when tournament registration windows open and close, provides a tournament calendar covering U.S. junior golf associations, offers a score tracker, and includes a bonus e-book. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who uses the Service. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Terms of Service.
TourNav accounts may only be created by adults aged 18 or older. Because the Service necessarily involves information about junior golfers entered by their parents or guardians, we treat children’s information with particular care, as described in Section 3.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to operate the Service. It falls into three groups.
(a) Account and parent information. When you create an account and set up your profile, we collect your name, email address, phone number, city, and state. We also maintain your Stripe customer identifier and subscription status so we know your account is active. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google; we do not receive your Google password.
(b) Children’s information provided by parents. To personalize tournament matching and alerts, you — the parent or guardian — may enter information about your golfer(s):
- First and last name
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Skill level
- USGA GHIN number
- Handicap index
- Home course
- Primary tour
- Scores you enter manually and scorecard images you upload (stored in a private storage bucket)
All of this information is entered by you. We never collect information directly from children— children do not create accounts, do not log in, and do not interact with the Service. See Section 3 for more on how we handle children’s information.
(c) Payment, preference, and usage information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number, expiration date, and CVC go directly to Stripe; TourNav never stores card numbers. We retain only your Stripe customer identifier and subscription status. We also store your tracked states, tournament subscriptions, and notification preferences, along with alert delivery logs (records of which alerts were sent to you, when, and through which channel) so we can troubleshoot delivery and avoid duplicate messages. Like most online services, our hosting infrastructure records basic technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps) for security and reliability.
3. Children’s Privacy
The Service is directed at and used by adults — parents and guardians of junior golfers. Children cannot and do not create TourNav accounts, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information directly from children. Every piece of information about a junior golfer in TourNav is provided by that golfer’s parent or guardian, who remains in control of it at all times.
- Your golfer’s information is used solely to match relevant tournaments and personalize the alerts we send to you. It is never used for advertising, never used to build profiles for any purpose other than tournament matching, and never sold or rented to anyone.
- You may review, correct, or delete your child’s information at any time from your dashboard, or by emailing us at support@mytournav.com. Deleting your account removes your golfer’s information along with it.
- Scorecard images you upload are stored in a private storage bucket and are accessible only through your account.
- If we learn that we have collected personal information directly from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided information to us directly, please contact support@mytournav.com so we can investigate and remove it.
4. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Send you SMS and email alerts when tournament registration windows open and close, based on your tracked states, tournament subscriptions, and notification preferences;
- Match tournaments to your golfer(s) using the profile details you have entered (such as age, gender, skill level, and primary tour);
- Operate your account and subscription, including billing through Stripe, verifying your phone number, and maintaining your score tracker and scorecard uploads;
- Respond to support requests sent to support@mytournav.com;
- Maintain, secure, and improve the Service, including reviewing alert delivery logs to fix delivery problems.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your information — or your child’s — for third-party advertising of any kind.
5. How We Share Information
We share information only with the service providers that make TourNav work, each acting on our instructions and only for the purpose described:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (including the private bucket holding scorecard images);
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing; Stripe handles your card details directly and TourNav never stores card numbers;
- Twilio — delivery of SMS alerts to the phone number you verify;
- Resend — delivery of email alerts and service-related email;
- Vercel — hosting and infrastructure for the application;
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with your Google account.
Beyond these providers, we may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, or where disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of TourNav, our users, or the public. If TourNav is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will require any successor to honor the commitments in this Privacy Policy with respect to information collected under it.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.
6. SMS & Email Choices
By providing and verifying your phone number, you consent to receive automated tournament alert text messages from TourNav. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies with tournament activity in the states and tours you track. You can opt out of SMS alerts at any time by replying STOP to any message — though if you do, you may miss registration alerts that the Service exists to deliver.
You can also fine-tune which alerts you receive, and over which channels, using the notification preference toggles in your dashboard — including turning off email alerts entirely. Please note that some messages are transactional — for example, billing receipts, password resets, and other account notices — and we may send these even if you have opted out of tournament alerts, because they are necessary to administer your account.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account information, golfer profiles, scores, tracked states, tournament subscriptions, preferences, and alert delivery logs for as long as your account exists, so the Service can keep working for you. Scorecard images remain in a private storage bucket tied to your account. When you delete your account — or ask us to by emailing support@mytournav.com — we delete this information, including your golfer’s data and uploaded scorecards, except where we are required to retain limited records (such as billing records) to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations, in which case we retain only what is required for only as long as required.
8. Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls limiting which systems and personnel can reach personal data, and private storage for scorecard uploads. Payment credentials are handled exclusively by Stripe. That said, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
9. Your Rights & Choices
You can access and update most of your information — including your golfer profiles, tracked states, and notification preferences — directly from your dashboard. In addition, you may request:
- Access — a copy of the personal information we hold about you and your golfer(s);
- Correction — that we fix inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Deletion — that we delete your account and the personal information associated with it;
- Portability — a copy of your information in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. For example, California residents may have rights to know what categories of personal information we collect, to delete personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. Because we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing to opt out of in that respect. To exercise any right, email support@mytournav.com from the address on your account; we will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
10. Cookies
TourNav uses only essential cookies — the authentication and session cookies required to keep you signed in and to keep your account secure. We do not use advertising cookies, ad trackers, or third-party analytics trackers. Because these cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function, disabling them in your browser will prevent you from staying signed in.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the Service evolves or as legal requirements change. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and if the changes are material — particularly any change affecting how we handle children’s information — we will provide more prominent notice, such as an email to the address on your account. Your continued use of the Service after an updated policy takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
